Collage Scrappin’ – Vintage Style

I have been enjoying a new type of art. Well, it’s new to me. Vintage collages are so appealling to me! I don’t know how I didn’t find these before now. I just adore the old photos, ads, ephemera and everything vintage. I’ve always loved Victorian and the 1920’s styles.

It isn’t too far a stretch to blend scrapbooking with this collage style. I don’t really know the terms, yet. I know there are a lot of ATC, or Artist Trading Cards, that are pictured on the sites I have visited. There are just gazillions of these artists’ sites listed. Appearantly, I am not the only one who likes these things.

I made the first one as a scrapping project for Magickal Scraps February Heritage Challenge.

The next one was done for Magickal Scraps March Chat Challenge. OMG! What a HOOT that was! Those ladies are a blast to ‘chat’ with. I haven’t laughed that hard in ages. Snowy provided us with the photos and other elements for us to scrap. I was working on this in an earlier post, in which, I found music from Enya to be very inspiring. Here is the end result:

I’m finding a style of my own in designing, anyway. Doing these is exactly the kind of thing I love to use to express myself, because, they have meaning to me. I want other people to enjoy looking at the layouts. Ultimately, though, the are my expressions. And, I can still use these to scrap my family’s photos! LOL

Do enjoy!
