New Freebie “Monet’s Garden”

A good morning to you all!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  Did you stock up on ‘NSD’ goodies?  I spent only 20 bucks, but, got a bushel of goodies!  I found some grab bags that were uber-discounted, plus, some other things that were too good to be true!  LOL  I know there were a lot of party-ers around the web this weekend.  Everyone seemed to be in a really fun mood.

Before I get started, I went to the doctor last week.  He had told me he thought I had early stages of COPD.  (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) refers to a group of lung diseases that block airflow as you exhale and make it increasingly difficult for you to breathe.)  When I went in last week, it was to measure my breathing.  I passed the test with flying colours!  It isn’t COPD that is making it hard for me to breathe at times.  Yay!! Since that was negative I still have to go back and have more tests to determine why I’m short of breath still, but, that one was clean!  Thank you to you all for your supportive well-wishes!  They worked!  LOL

At Digital Whisper we had ‘Spring Fling’!  Beginning Saturday morning, we held challenges and we are still giving away prizes to all who participate.  We are drawing winners in each group challenge, too!  The bad part about being a member of the Admin team means that we may not get to participate in some of the challenges.  But, I had a blast anyway!  Between all the fun and hooplah there and all the digi-sales elsewhere, it was a busy weekend!

I want to tell ya’ll about something that I have found that, I think, will interest you.  Always on the look-out for good bargains, I found ‘Sorority Scraps Guild’ from Graphics by PokaDot.  The banner looks like this:

Click on the banner to go to the page that has the information you need on it.  For twelve(12) dollars, you get six(6)-month’s of CU products.  On the first of every month, you get an e-mail with a link.  Go to it and download all the goodies!  It’s like Christmas morning when I get those e-mails!  LOL  There are all kinds of goodies in the monthly packs!  I’ve received brushes, templates, .png element files, ribbons, frames, flowers, and so on and so on!  Also, it doesn’t matter whether you have PS or PSP.  The goodies, like scripts and .pngs, come in both formats where necessary.  It’s all a good thing!  So far, I’ve probably received 20-30 dollars worth of CU stuffs and I’ve only been a member for two months!!

One of the goodies in the ‘Welcome’ pack was a template for a little ‘album’.  I decorated it all pretty and, with PokaDot’s permission, this is one of the QP’s for this month’s new freebie kit from Miss Edna and I, “Monet’s Garden”.  This week we give away the QP freebies, two of them.  Then, for the next two Mondays we will give away two parts  each per week, for a total of 12 parts by month’s end.  Each part is about 30mbs.  After the two QP’s, the remaining parts are all the elements and papers and such so you can make your own layouts!

So, without further delay, here are the Quick Pages for you.  Click on the preview to go to to download.  Then, beneath that, is Miss Edna’s preview.  Click on it to go to her blog if you haven’t been there already.

And, Miss Edna’s Place preview:

That’s a gonna do it for this post.  I have some links and things for you, but, will come back and post again – maybe later today.

Until then, or, at least, next Monday,

You got it!  SMILE!

Freebie Collab “April Showers” Final Parts

Greetings, folks!  I’m settling in, somewhat, to this blog.  There is so much I don’t know how to do!  I cannot figure out how to add an RSS feed, but, you can subscribe to my posts through the sidebar gadget that is titled, ‘Follow Blog via Email’.  Eventually, I should ‘get it’!  LOL

I hope everyone had a nice weekend, honoring our dear mother earth.  I had received an e-mail for a regular post series that I receive from StockVaultBlog.  Caleb Kimbrough posts a set of free textures there on Fridays.  When I went to download them, I noticed they were images of ‘Urban Grunge’.  They look to be worn cement floors or some concrete surface that has been exposed to a lot of harsh treatment.  It hit me that this was, in it’s own way, ‘recycling’.  Caleb shoots the photo of some derelict construct, processes it and posts it online for folks to use as textures in their designs.  How much more recycled can ya get?  LOL  If you want to check out the  Friday posts of Caleb’s textures, visit there and sign up for the notifications if you like.  These textures are different from those on his site, ‘Lost and Taken’.  I’ve been able to add some very nice textures to my resources from there.  So, you, go, Caleb!

I return to the doctor today.  Ugh!  I am so not looking forward to it!  So, as nervous as I am, I am going to stop here and give you the last two parts of “April Showers”.  Click on each of the previews below to go to to download two parts, Pt 5 and Pt 6.  Then, click on Miss Edna’s preview to go to her blog for her two parts.  I do hope you enjoy!

Before I forget, make sure you collect the ‘Collage Sheets’ that go with this kit.  They were offered on suruha-freespirit as my final post.  I posted that link here, but, just in case you missed it, go HERE and snag ’em!  Or, click on this preview:

Miss Edna’s Place

That is gonna do it for today.

I appreciate each person who visits this blog.  It doesn’t matter if you do not comment, though, I do so love to read them!  I just don’t worry about it.  I understand it is time-consuming if you are on a tight schedule.  Thank you, anyway!

Until next time…

Smiling, yet?

New Blog, New Freebies – Pts 3 and 4 “April Showers”

Greetings from my new blog at Word Press!  The domain name of it is ‘A Lady in Florida’, as you may have noticed.  I hope this doesn’t confuse too much.  It has the by-line, ‘A Freespirit Weblog’, so, the name on my freebies, ‘Freespirit’, will stay the same.

This is my first real post since I made the move.  If you didn’t see my last post on Blogger, I got so fed up with that site, I came back here!  This was my first ever blog!  I had just this one for a short time.  My intentions were to learn CSS, or at least WP design.  But, Photoshop entered my life and I never looked back!  LOL  I have spent the past few years learning PS.  It wasn’t until after I got on Blogger that I began meeting people and when I became a member of the digital scrapbooking community.  Everyone is accustomed to reading my posts in Blogger, so, it may take a little getting used to.  But, and this is a promise, nothing will change as far as posting goes.

I will still post the monthly freebie from Miss Edna and I.  If you are new to my blog posts, Miss Edna, from ‘Miss Edna’s Place’, and I collaborate together each month on a digi-scrap kit to give away as a freebie to our readers.  We release two parts each per week, for three weeks of each month.  We don’t post on the first Monday of the month, but, rather, the second. third and fourth Mondays of the month.  Two parts per week, each, would be four parts.  Then, we do that for three weeks.  So, twelve!  By month’s end, you will have twelve(12) new parts to our kit.

The links for the older things I made and posted when I was on Blogger are all still active. You can either visit Suruha-Freespirit, or, go to my ‘Freebies Previews and Links’ page, listed above in the menu bar.  On that page, there are recent freebies previews with the links to the post they are in at Suruha-Freespirit.

Enough of this chit-chat!  You kind folks have had to read all kinds of notices and find your way around my move.  I’m sure you are ready to be done!  This month’s freebie collaboration, ‘April Showers’, Parts 3 and 4, with Miss Edna’s Place are here!  Below are the previews for “April Showers”.

 Part 3 –

Part 4 –

Though the previews are separated by papers and elements, each ‘Part’ will have a mixture of papers and elements.  These previews are just so you can see what is in the kit better – hopefully.  Also, Parts 1 and 2 come to you as Quick Pages (QP’s).  Then, subsequent weeks will bring the papers and elements so you can create your own scrapbooking pages/designs.

I made too much for this kit, as usual.  So, I put some of the goodies on ‘collage sheets’, 3600pxs x 3600pxs(12″ x 12′) at 300 dpi, and will give you those links separate from the kit links.  There are three of them, so, watch for them.

Below is Miss Edna’s link.  If I am able I will post her preview.  I had to type this up on Friday and set it for scheduled posting on Monday.  I am having some major upgrade work done on Monday and I didn’t want it to interfere with my Monday post.  As of this typing, I do not have Miss Edna’s preview.   If I get it before the work, I will sure add it below.  If not though, click on her blog name, below, to go to her blog, Miss Edna’s Place, for her parts, if you haven’t already been there.

Miss Edna’s Blog –

That is going to do it, then, for this first post on this blog!  If you came over from the old blog, I sure do appreciate it!  I will have things up and running more smoothly as soon as I can!  Thank you for your patience and your patronage!  You mean a lot to me!

Until next time…
